Singing along to "Last Friday night" (ok so it was technically the Friday before) I took miss 8 to go see Katy Perry - her very first concert. It was such a fun experience and I'm so glad I got to share that with my girl, but there was one very important lesson learned...
I am getting too old for these kind of gigs.
Its been a long time since I went to a concert - Robbie Williams was the last one, and I've had two kids since then, so yeah, its been a while.
The support act was playing when we got to our seats, and oh boy was it loud! Like, so bass-y and loud that our chests were vibrating. I texted hubby that I should have brought ear-plugs... his response:
"Gees, you really are getting old"
Yep thanks for that :)
But it was all worth it when Katy Perry came on stage - the look on my daughters face was absolutely priceless... she screamed with excitement and I almost cried seeing how happy she was. We did also get some ear-plugs for her (thanks to my friend), to protect those precious young ear-drums. Then we sang along and boogied in our seats and loved every minute, even if mummy did feel a bit deaf afterwards!
The beautiful Botanic Gardens on Tamborine Mountain was our backdrop Beatrice's & Marcos' family session... We had rescheduled our session a couple of times and on the day of the session we had a few moments of very light rain, which fortunately didn't deter any of us!!
Little Penelope, just 4 months old here was just gorgeous to work with and loved hanging out with mummy and daddy, enjoying some cuddles, showing me some big smiles and kissing mummy's face!
Thanks guys for a lovely session - here are some of the favourites from the day:
