I've lived all my life in the suburbs... on town water. I mean, you just turn on the tap without thinking about it, right? Want a long hot shower? Have one! Have two showers a day if you want! Want to water the garden? Do it! I never really thought about the importance of rain until we moved to a place on tank water. Suddenly, we have to watch every drop, check the tanks regularly, limit the duration of showers, turn taps off when brushing teeth and THINK about the water we're using. Before now, rain was just an inconvenience, something to be endured, an annoyance. But now, its vital. So this predicted wet weather event this weekend has been much anticipated. I'm loving the sound of rain on the roof. Our tanks are filling up and we're feeling happy! I just hope its reaching the farmers out west, who need it even more than us! A beautiful, fun family, a beautiful location and a stunning sunset... that just about sums up my shoot with the Marin family! We started our shoot at Jacobs Well for some shots by the water and in the nearby park, and then moved on to a stunning spot in the nearby cane fields. The kids were so sweet and well-mannered, and the whole family was willing to try a few fun ideas for a laugh! It made for some awesome images too! Thanks for a beautiful afternoon guys!
