Its Crazy Hair Day at our kids school today, as part of World's Greatest Shave. Normally they get their hair sprayed at school but today they wanted to do something a little bit different at home. Miss 9 even borrowed some pipe cleaners from the teacher, and then drew me a diagram, so we could create the "antennae" look that she was going for! Master 7 didn't want to miss out either, opting for multiple mini pony-tails in blue and green... The best part was when we arrived at school and saw everyone else's fun hairstyles, and the giggles around the school as everyone checked out each other's efforts! Plus its all for a great cause helping to raise funds for blood cancer research :) We had an absolutely glorious afternoon for Jo & Rob's family session here at Tamborine recently. We had the most beautiful afternoon light filtering through the trees - and it was so much fun working with these guys! Piggy back rides, tickle fights, and lots of love and laughter was the name of the game for this session... Thanks guys for a fun afternoon! Our little dog Dutchy is walking around with a bucket on his head at the moment, and let me tell you, he's not very happy about it. A few months ago we noticed a little pimple on the top of his head - small, like a white-head. We paid no attention at first, but over the weeks it started to slowly grow, and grow. The vet said it was just a sebaceous cyst, harmless, just a bit gross. But then it grew to the size of a tick. Then it grew to the size of a thumb-nail, lumpy and bumpy and not attractive at all. Every time somebody patted him on the head, they retracted their hand in horror! We knew it had to go, but being non-urgent, it was just a matter of timing it with another vet procedure. So this week poor Dutchy went in to have his teeth cleaned, and had his lumpectomy at the same time. He's sporting a very uncool haircut now - think "reverse mohawk" - and two stitches to add to the look - poor little man! Today's blog features some images from a family holiday! A holiday is the perfect time to capture some beautiful portraits. I had so much fun capturing these fun, relaxed moments for Esther and her extended family at the beautiful Worendo Cottages at Darlington. The kids loved exploring and showing me around the property (and telling me all about their fabulous trip!) - we even got to meet one of the resident cows who took a bit of a liking to my camera bag, and was super curious about the humans who'd come to visit the dam too!! (See the photo below!) So much fun exploring this stunning location with such a lovely family - thank you guys for trusting me with these memories of your holiday!
