One thing that my two kids have really embraced during the school holidays is reading... particularly miss 9, who will pretty much read anything with the word "Diaries" in it... and she is devouring books faster than I can buy them. So when she'd finished all the books she'd received for Christmas and her birthday, I decided it was time to join the library. We've never been library card holders before, it was a big step, and they were quite impressed when we dropped in to our local library - it was like a revelation to them both - WOW - so many books! Master 7 is enjoying Dog Man and Ahn Do books, and miss 9 picked up a range of new Dork Diaries, books on unicorns and Magic Animal Friends. So it looks like they have both picked up mummy's love of reading, and I reckon that's a bit awesome - lets hope it continues! Rica and Dan brought their sweet little girl Kyra to the studio for their newborn session recently... Kyra was 3.5 weeks old at the time of her session - and she slept like a dream! She loved snuggling in for cuddles with mum and dad and I just loved all the pinks and neutrals we used during her session. Thank you Rica and Dan for asking me to capture these precious memories of your beautiful baby girl! Here are a few favourites from this session:

Happy New Year! Its been such a busy couple of weeks and this poor blog has been a little neglected - but here we are - a fresh new year and lots of exciting things planned for 2019! School holidays are in full swing here and today, sadly, my kids are having to endure a "BORING HOME DAY" so that mummy can catch up on some things - sorry kiddos haha! Anyway, I think that "BORING HOME DAYS" are important too - as long as I can ignore the "I'm bored" complaints (and bickering) for long enough, after a while they come up with the best games as their imaginations take over. The stories they tell, the characters they create, and the artwork they show me afterwards is pretty cool... Failing that, I kick them outside to jump on the trampoline and burn off some energy for a while! Hope you are surviving too! Its not often that I get to capture two gorgeous pooches as the stars of the show - so it was a rare treat to meet Buddy and Sasha and spend a whole session with them! These beautiful Golden Retrievers were amazing and I loved running around after them as they explored this stunning location. It can be challenging working with animals, but these two made my job so easy - and when they weren't doing what we wanted, well we just had to laugh! Thanks so much to the fur-parents Michelle & Hugh - I loved capturing these images of your fur-babies! As always, so much fun!
