What is it about that last crazy week before school holidays? My kids go a bit batty... master 7 has more energy than he knows what to do with, and miss 8 just starts crying at the least little thing. These last few weeks, she has lost the ability to tie her hair up in a ponytail - a skill that she previously had mastered and in fact, had been doing herself most of the year. This results in a flood of tears each day and a sullen car ride to school. Meanwhile master 7 just breaks things. Mostly from throwing them up in the air and attempting to catch them. "Drink bottle flip" has been banned in this household! So all I can say is "Thank goodness the school year is over"! I have three sessions this week and then its time to rest, sleep and play - it wont be long before the chaos of school routine starts again! Introducing beautiful Isabella Rose at just 13 days old... she melted me with those lovely big eyes! This gorgeous little sweetheart was a little bit reluctant to sleep at first with a bit of wind in the tummy - she was also very alert, but with lots of work from her lovely mum Felicity, we got there in the end! She got to enjoy lots of cuddle time with mum, dad Scott and proud big brother Toby too! Here are some of the favourites from this session: If you enjoyed this, you might also like:

We celebrated a big occasion here last week when our young man turned 7! This year is the most excited I've ever seen him for a birthday... and its been truly amazing to see our little guy come out of his shell. He has always been a little bit reserved - you never really knew when he was happy or excited because he has perfected his poker-face quite well (a trait he has inherited from me!) But on his birthday, it was like he simply decided to let those emotions out and show the world that he was having fun. He spent the day laughing, dancing, joking and smiling... more than I have ever seen. It really warmed my heart to see his shyness and self-consciousness start to melt away and see his lovely little personality shine through, and that has continued all through this week too. Sometimes I feel sad that they are growing up too fast, but other times, like now, I really cherish seeing them change, grow and become confident, happy little people. This, right now... is such a golden age. This weeks blog features beautiful little Arielle! This cutie-pie was 25 days old (3.5 weeks) on the day of her newborn session - and she was awesome! I do so love capturing some of those wide-awake moments, and after a little top up feed she slept like a dream. Mum chose neutrals and pale pinks for the colour theme for this session, it was so girly and sweet - just like miss Arielle!
